Day trips or overnight trips Ideas?

Hi, I live in Cincinnati Ohio and looking for new things to do on the weekend or days off from work. Id prefer day trips but if we have to spend the night ok. id like something on the cheap side but just something to get out and do something it is 2 adults no kids. i don't want to drive allll day but know there well be a decent amount of driving involved up for any suggestions! thanks!
